Connect Cursor & Coding Tools
Feed Forge's own model is named feed-forge. Every AI request on the website, MCP, and Cursor deducts 20 credits immediately.
Add Feed Forge as a Cursor model
This uses the same custom-model path as other OpenAI-compatible models in Cursor. After it is selected, Agent chat can research the open project: Cursor sends the same search and file tools, and feed-forge answers them. Each request deducts 20 credits, including each research step.
1. In Feed Forge, open Settings and create a model API key.
2. In Cursor, open Cursor Settings → Models (Cmd+Shift+J on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+J on Windows).
3. Paste the Feed Forge key into OpenAI API Key, then turn Use OpenAI API Key on and save.
4. Turn on Override OpenAI Base URL and set it to https://feedforgeai.com/api/v1. If Cursor adds /v1 itself, https://feedforgeai.com also works.
5. Click Add Custom Model and enter feed-forge.
6. In the chat model picker, choose feed-forge. Leave Auto off so the request stays on Feed Forge.
7. Ask it to research the open project, for example: “Search this project and explain how credits are deducted.”
While the base URL override is on, OpenAI-routed models in Cursor also go through Feed Forge. Turn the override off when you want Cursor’s built-in OpenAI models again. Tab completion stays on Cursor’s own model.
Connect MCP
Feed Forge also exposes a remote MCP server. AI tools on that server use the same key and the same 20-credit charge.

Connect Cursor MCP UI
1. Open Cursor → Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP.
2. Add the JSON above, with your Settings key in the Authorization header.
3. Save. Feed Forge should show as connected.
4. Ask the agent to draft a post or use coding help. Each tool call deducts 20 credits.
